124th Road Extension – HB3225
HB 3225 authorizes a county with Urban Reserves to seek an exception to one or more statewide land use planning goals for transportation facilities in urban reserve areas.
Recognizing the importance that this extension has for his constituents, Rep. Wingard sponsored and supported this important road building bill throughout the entire legislative process.
This exception will allow the communities of Tualatin, Sherwood and Wilsonville to extend 124th Avenue in an area known as Basalt Creek, which is scheduled for industrial development and could facilitate the creation of 3,800 new family wage jobs.
